Back to Colorado Overtime Law
Employees who work more than five consecutive hours must receive a 30-minute unpaid meal period where they are completely relieved of their job duties. If the employee is not completely relieved of their job duties while eating, they must be compensated.
Employees can receive a paid 10-minute rest period for each 4 hours of work. The employer may require the employee to stay on the premises for the paid rest period.
