Final Wages Under Missouri Wage and Hour Law
Back to Missouri Overtime Law
If an employer-employee relationship is terminated, wages are due at that time. If an employer does not give the terminated employee their final paycheck, the worker should send a written request for their final wages. The worker should send the letter by certified mail with return receipt requested. The employer has seven days to respond to the request. If not, the employee can collect their wages through a private lawsuit.
