What is the current Nevada minimum wage?

In Nevada, the minimum wage is $6.55 per hour with insurance and $7.55 per hour without insurance.

Are tipped employees entitled to the Nevada minimum wage?

Nevada employers cannot apply tips as a credit toward the payment of the minimum wage.

How often should employees in Nevada be paid?

Workers must be paid at least semi-monthly.

Employers are not allowed to make deductions, with the exception of benefits and items required by law, unless an employee supplies written authorization.

If an employee quits or is fired, when should they receive their final wages?

If an employee has been fired, the employer has three days to provide the worker’s final paycheck. Employees who quit must receive their final wages by the next regularly scheduled payday or within 7 days, whichever comes first.

Who is entitled to overtime in Nevada?

Additionally, workers who receive a base rate of 1.5 times the minimum wage or less per hour may be able to receive overtime pay when working more than 8 hours in day. Several exceptions exist, however, and in some cases, federal wage and hour laws may apply.
