Nevada Final Paycheck, Pay Day, Rest Break Laws

Back to Nevada Overtime Law

Employers must be paid at least semi-monthly. Employees who are fired or laid off are due their final wages, payable immediately. Workers who are terminated must be paid within three days. Employees who quit must be paid no later than the day on which he or she would have been paid or within 7 days, whichever comes first.

Nevada wage and hour law states that rest periods are based on total hours for the day. Ten-minute rest periods should be provided for every 3.5 hours worked. When an employee works a continuous period of 8 hours, they must be given an unpaid, uninterrupted 30-minute meal break.
