Employees who quit without 48 hours notice: The paycheck is due within five days, excluding weekends and holidays, or on the next regular payday, whichever comes first.
Employees who quit with 48 hours notice: The last paycheck is due on the final day of work, except when this day lands on a weekend or holiday.. In these situations, the check should be given on the next business day.
Employees who are fired: Final wages are due no later than the end of the next business day.
Employer-employee mutual agreement: When an employer and employee mutually agree to end the working relationship, final wages are due by the end of the next business day.
Employment related to state/county fairs: If employment terminates on weekends or holidays and is related to state and country fairs, final wages should be given by the end of the second business day following the separation.
