- The minimum wage in Utah is $7.25.
- The Utah minimum wage is the same as the federal rate.
- Utah employers can pay minors at a rate of $4.25 per hour during the initial 90 days of employment.
- The minimum wage for tipped workers is $2.13 per hour. However, the workers' tips plus their hourly wages must add up to at least the Utah minimum wage.
Utah Overtime Law:
- No state-specific Utah overtime law exists.
- Utah employers must comply with the provisions of the federal overtime law known as the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Utah employers must pay non-exempt employees at a rate of 1.5 times their regular rate for hours worked over 40 in a single workweek.
